Why Jo's Dreamland Exists
Children have a wonderful way of becoming completely absorbed in the things they love - dinosaurs, ballet, rugby, animals, music, travel, racing, the ocean and everything in between.
We believe those interests are more than passing phases. They are opportunities to connect, build confidence, encourage curiosity and help children feel seen for who they are.
That is why we believe a child's bedroom can be more than simply a place to sleep. It can be a space that reflects who they are, celebrates what excites them and gives their imagination room to grow.
Because when we take an interest in the things our children love, we’re showing them that what matters to them, matters to us too.
Who We Are
Jo’s Dreamland is named after our dad, Joe - or Jo, as we shortened it for the brand.
We lost Dad at the end of 2023. He was always the person encouraging us to follow our dreams, choose the paths that made us happy and back ourselves along the way. His legacy helped make Jo’s Dreamland possible, and giving the business his name felt like a special way to carry a little of him forward.
Jo’s Dreamland launched in Australia in October 2025. Today, Jo’s Dreamland South Africa is a South African-owned family business, created by sisters Christine and Marna - two mums who know just how much the things children love can become part of who they are.
Dad taught us to follow what makes us happy. We hope Jo’s Dreamland helps children do the same.
From Their Interests to Deeper Connection
The things children love give us a wonderful way to connect with them. A conversation about rugby, dinosaurs, wildlife or ballet can become a chance to listen, laugh, learn together - and understand a little more about their world.
That’s why many Jo’s Dreamland collections include a Snuggle & Learn booklet, filled with facts, questions and activities designed to spark those conversations, especially during those quiet moments before sleep.
Because showing an interest in what they love is one of the simplest ways to show them that they matter.

Children spend so much time in their beds, so what they sleep in matters to us.
We choose quality fabrics with softness, breathability and comfort in mind, and look for materials that are gentle enough for everyday family life. Where relevant, our fabrics are independently tested for harmful substances, giving parents added peace of mind.
We also pay attention to the practical details - from reversible designs to hidden zip closures and inner corner ties that help keep duvets securely in place.
